Bob McGill

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO) & BOARD MEMBER, SPECTRA AEROSPACE & DEFENSE

Robert “Bob” McGill is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Board Member of Spectra Aerospace & Defense. He is also currently serving as Acting President of ArgonFDS. He has spent his entire 40-year career in the aerospace and defense industry, mainly in the avionics, sensors, and defense electronics segment. Prior to partnering with Vance Street Capital to form Spectra Aerospace & Defense in February 2021, Bob was Chief Operating Officer of CALCULEX®, Inc. and a Board Member & Executive Director of FDS Avionics.

Bob has held executive-level P&L positions in global C5ISR companies including General Dynamics, as VP/GM Global Imaging Technologies, and at L-3 Communications (now part of L3Harris), as a Division/Group President. Prior to joining L-3 Communications (formerly Loral), Bob held business development, engineering, and manufacturing positions with GEC-Marconi Avionics (a predecessor of SELEX Galileo), Miltope Corporation, and Sperry Corporation.

Overall, Bob brings 40 years of experience in aerospace and defense, with expertise in strategy development and execution; operating company P&L management; mergers and acquisitions; business turnarounds; technology and new product development; new business development; and management team building.

A native of New York, Bob holds an Executive MBA from Georgia State University, a BS from Dowling College, and he completed the Electronic Technology Program at Grumman Data Systems Institute.
