Statement of Environmental Compliance
This statement applies to products manufactured by Galleon Embedded Computing AS, having it’s principal address at Hovfaret 10, N-0275 Oslo, Norway.
EU Directive 2011/65/EU(RoHS2):
Galleon products are manufactured in compliance with European Directive 2011/65/EU regarding the restriction of use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
REACH Regulation (EC 1907/2006):
Under the REACH regulation, Galleon Embedded Computing is a manufacturer of “articles” to our EU customers. The REACH regulation Article 3, paragraph 3 defines an “article as” “Article: means an object which during production is given a special shape, surface or design which determines its function to a greater degree than its chemical composition”. Hence, electronic components are to be considered as articles. Galleon does not manufacture “substances” or “preparations” and our articles do not involve the “intentional release of substances”. Therefore, Galleon does not see a need for registration or pre-registration or Authorisation requirement for the manufactured products.
Should articles produced by Galleon or its contract manufacturers, be identified as containing SVHC substances identified on the ECHA “Candidate List” (including future updates), in a concentration above 0.1% (w/w), Galleon will provide sufficient information, as available to us, to our customers. This information will state safe use of the article and, at a minimum, include the name of the substance.
