Michael Böhm

Vice President and Site Lead

Michael Böhm, Vice President and Site Lead for Spectra Defense Technologies’ Munich operations, brings two decades of international defense experience spanning technical leadership, program management and strategic coordination across Europe’s defense ecosystem. His career has been defined by bridging technological, industrial and strategic divides to deliver mission-critical capabilities.

His foundation began with 20 years of service in the German Air Force as a technical officer, where he worked on programs including the Eurofighter Typhoon during its introduction phase. This experience instilled core principles of integrity, accountability and solution-oriented leadership that continue to guide his approach to complex defense challenges.

Post-military service, Michael’s career includes significant roles at KNDS, Airbus, Leonardo and NATO, where he demonstrated capabilities in harmonizing technology and processes across multinational teams. As bid manager for the European MALE RPAS program, he aligned diverse national and industrial interests to advance European defense capabilities. His tenure at NATO provided strategic perspective on interoperability, capability development and collective defense readiness.

Michael holds a Master’s in Computer Science, a post-graduate Master’s in Commercial Law and a Diploma in Business Administration. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), bringing rigorous methodology to every program he leads.

At Spectra, Michael focuses on fostering sustainable growth, integrating Galleon as a vital component of the unified company, and leveraging the combined portfolio to deliver comprehensive system solutions. His leadership emphasizes building consensus across diverse teams, streamlining processes without compromising quality and ensuring that every decision maintains the reliability customers depend on when there’s no margin for error.
