KATY, TEXAS
MARCH 28, 2018
Galleon Embedded Computing announced joining the International Test and Evaluation Association (ITEA) as a corporate member for 2018. Additionally, Galleon will participate and exhibit in ITEA’s 22nd Test and Training Instrumentation Workshop scheduled for May 15 to 17 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Galleon Director of Systems Engineering for North America Steve Mills commented:“Galleon products allow deployed system designers to utilize emerging technologies in the harshest environments, pushing the envelope for bandwidth and storage density in compact and low-power packages. We have seen tremendous growth in the number of customers also electing to use these products during system development and test phases of their programs, so I am pleased that we are recognizing and supporting the test community through our participation with ITEA. Recent technology advancements have closed any gaps that once existed between test recorder capability and that of a deployable system. Years ago, recording raw radar data or HD video, for example might have required a full rack worth of equipment. Today, the same small form factor Galleon XSR or G1 recorder can be used for raw test recording and easily be transitioned for use in a tactical mission capacity.” About ITEA:
For over thirty years the International Test and Evaluation Association (ITEA), a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit education organization, has been advancing the exchange of technical, programmatic, and acquisition information among the test and evaluation community. ITEA members come together to learn and share with others from industry, government, and academia, who are involved with the development and application of the policies and techniques used to assess effectiveness, reliability, interoperability, and safety of existing, legacy, and future technology-based weapon and non-weapon systems and products throughout their lifecycle.
