Spectra Aerospace & Defense Appoints Erlend Møyland as CEO of Galleon Embedded Computing

ALPHARETTA, GA – March 5, 2025 – Spectra Aerospace & Defense today announced the appointment of Erlend Møyland as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Galleon Embedded Computing. As CEO, Møyland will be key to advancing Galleon’s global growth strategy, including expanding its open architecture and certification-ready electronics systems portfolio into strategic regional markets.

Møyland joins the company as it prepares for a period of significant growth.

Møyland previously served as Vice President of Programs at Rheinmetall Nordic AS. He successfully managed large-scale development programs for sensor and observation systems, reconnaissance, and fire-control systems in that role. Before that, he was a part of the Land Systems division at the Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency, overseeing the procurement of defense systems for the Norwegian Armed Forces.
Galleon is committed to advancing architectures that enable C5ISR systems and are based on open standards, and Møyland’s appointment aligns with this mission. A graduate of the BI Norwegian School of Management and the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy, Møyland has a strong foundation in systems engineering principles.
